Taking my own advice: taking action.
I was on the phone with a client of mine just last week and we were discussing some of the issues that needed to be taken care of before he was ready to launch. I was encouraging him to just go for it.
“it’s not going to be perfect right out of the gates, John. You just have to get your great content out there for everyone to see.”
My internal dialog piped up and I told myself that I should really be taking in my own advice I was preaching. For months I had been reflecting on what I wanted to do with danegan.com and I’ve just decided to let it grow organically. I’ve often found myself in paralysis not knowing which direction to take a new project. I’ve had so many different and unique ideas for this little space but now I’m just going to run with my advice above.
I’m just going to start. Start to share my ideas, my passions and to have a place to share with you what I create for my clients. I’ve been working online for a lot of years now and albeit late: I’ve really got to think about building my personal brand. Action seems like the perfect place to start.
